Golden Globe 2019, trionfa la lotta all’omofobia – vincono Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book e L’Assassinio di Gianni Versace

L’edizione più rainbow di sempre. I Golden Globe 2019 passeranno alla storia per i propri vincitori, mai tanto inclusivi e in prima linea nel rimarcare quel mostro chiamato omofobia.

Bohemian Rhapsody di Bryan Singer (cacciato poco prima della fine delle riprese e ‘dimenticato’ nel discorso di ringraziamento dai produttori) è stato eletto miglior drama, con Rami Malek, straordinario nei panni di Freddie Mercury, miglior attore protagonista (“Grazie Freddie  per avermi regalato la gioia di una vita. Ti amo, uomo bellissimo“, ha detto Malek tra gli applausi). Green Book di Peter Farrelly, già vincitore al Toronto Film Festival e tra i favoriti per i prossimi Oscar, è stato invece eletto miglior musical/comedy e miglior sceneggiatura, con Mahershala Ali, nel film musicista omosessuale nell’America più razzista e omofoba degli anni ’60, miglior attore non protagonista. Ma non è finita certamente qui. La regale Olivia Colman de La Favorita, che nella pellicola di Yorgos Lanthimos intreccia una relazione lesbo a tre con Rachel Weisz ed Emma Stone, è stata incoronata miglior attrice, mentre Lady Gaga ha vinto il Globe per la miglior canzone originale, Shallow, brano portante di A Star is Born.

Dopo il boom agli Emmy, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story di Ryan Murphy ha conquistato anche i Golden Globe, con lo spaventoso Darren Criss eletto meritatamente miglior attore, mentre Sandra Oh, ossessionata da Jodie Comer in Killing Eve, ha fatto suo il riconoscimento come miglior attrice. Premio importante anche per Ben Whishaw, amante di Hugh Grant in A Very English Scandal. Nel suo discorso di ringraziamento l’attore, da sempre gay dichiarato,  ha reso omaggio a Grant, allo scrittore Russel Davies (creatore di Queer as Folk) e al regista Stephen Frears, ma soprattutto al suo Norman Josiffe, modello ed ex fidanzato del primo ministro Jeremy Thorpe, da lui definito ‘icona queer’.
